Your Story. Your Voice.

Creative Writing Program

Your Story. Your Voice. started out in 2018 with our Founder and lead workshop facilitator, Genie Webb-Mitchell bringing youth from diverse backgrounds together to do what they love. Little did they know that it would grow into the thriving Creative Writing Program it is today. Our dedicated writers, now expanded to both youth and adults, enjoy weekly meetings and coming together to explore different approaches to story writing and positive decision making strategies. Passion and enthusiasm go hand-in-hand with everything we do. Our door is always open to new writers, no matter their experience level. We are proud to bring together people from all over through our virtual and in-person workshops.

Find the Light partners with community organizations to bring private Your Story. Your Voice. Creative Writing Workshops to the people they serve. In addition, we also schedule workshops with open enrollment throughout the year.

If your organization or group is interested in bringing a workshop to your community and would like to sponsor a workshop, please reach out to us below.

What You Should Know

Our creative writing Workshops are designed for both youth, aged 10 - 18, and adults 18 and up. Your Story. Your Voice. is a 4 week story-writing program that empowers all of our writers to put voice to paper and find triumph through life's challenges. Twice a year, all stories are combined into an anthology and published on Amazon.com.
